A Letter from the Principal

Dear Parents

Welcome to St. Anthony's Catholic School, Glen Huntly.

At St Anthony’s Primary School we aim to develop the attitudes and skills that will equip all children to participate fully in the world of the 21st Century. We believe that children learn best when they are active participants in their own learning. The school caters for individual differences and believes that children should proceed at individual rates, take responsibility for their learning and be successful in what they do.

St Anthony’s Primary School is a community working in partnership for the spiritual, intellectual, emotional, physical, moral and social development of our children to ensure that they are developed and nurtured during their time at school.

A further aim is to help all children to develop a sense of belonging - to feel loved, accepted and valued as individuals so that they will be prepared to face confidently all the wonderful experiences that life has to offer.

The curriculum is developed so that the children are taught to their point of need and to achieve their personal best. Whilst here each child will develop the skills of Literacy and Numeracy, alongside an education in the Catholic faith in which the staff take great pride.

The Staff of St. Anthony's School ensure they develop a close liaison with parents so that the School experience of all children is positive. In having open communication between parents, teachers and children we can all work together to develop a nurturing Catholic community.
